Our attention and affections are in high demand. Whether it’s a person, a job or a screen, there is plenty to distract our eyes and our hearts from God. Like the Israelites, we may have the best intentions to follow God. But it can be tempting to wander away when something “better” or "easier" comes along.
In the first portion of our study on the Minor Prophets, you’ll read the constant plea of the prophets to the Israelites: "Come, let us return to the Lᴏʀᴅ" (Hosea 6:1). There will always be other gods to worship, but there is only One True God. And while we are often unfaithful to God, God is always faithful to His people.
Return to Refuge: The study of Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi.

In this Experience Guide, you'll get:
  • Daily study questions to encourage deeper reading of Scripture
  • "Major Moments" outlined in each chapter
  • Cultural and historical backgrounds
  • Insights into what makes these "Minor Prophets" unique
  • Beautifully designed verses, charts and maps
As humans, we mess up … a lot. We say we’ll never do that “one thing” again, but, we do. We go back to following our feelings rather than following God. We go back to our sin. And we always end up in the same place: trapped by despair and hopelessness, wondering if God can or will rescue us from the hole we’ve dug for ourselves.

Throughout the second study of the Minor Prophets, the Israelites cry out to God as they are trapped by the sin they've committed and facing oppression from foreign powers. In response, God sends prophets to echo a promise for His people, “The Lᴏʀᴅ is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him” (Nahum 1:7 ESV). We may feel far from God, but He is always close, waiting for us to return to Him.

Join us for the study of Return to Refuge: The study of Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi
